Shri P Sainath a recipient of the PUCL 'Journalism for Human Rights Award' for 1994 has been awarded BD Goenka Award for excellence in journalism for 1998-99. The other recipients are Shri Ramoji Rao, and Shri H.K. Dua. The presentations were made on November 9.
Teesta Setalvad
The Dalit Liberation Education Trust is happy to announce that Ms. Teesta Setalvad,
Journalist in Mumbai has been chosen for the year 2000 Human Rights Award, to
be presented during the commemoration of the World Human Rights Day at Mumbai
on 11th December 2000. The DALIT LIBERATION EDUCATION TRUST instituted Human
Rights Award in the year 1995 to the persons who made outstanding contribution
in the field of Human Rights.
