There was an excellent letter to this newspaper last week written by Col. (Retd) Tahir Mushhahdi and I would like to quote the last paragraph of his letter: "There has to be clear and distinct qualitative difference between law breakers and law enforcers. It is impossible to enforce the rule of law by breaking it. The Government and its law enforcing agencies must themselves respect the law and follow legal procedures and act as an example. The is the foundation of universal civilized behaviour and pre requisite of justice, fair play and good governance." This is precisely the point.
There is, it appears, an identity of attitudes as far as governance goes! -Chief Editor
