Imminent fear of refugee camps in Gujarat being closed
The President of the People's Union for Civil Liberties is presently in Gujarat. He has informed that there is an imminent possibility of disbanding the camps where the people uprooted from their homes due to arson and killing are staying.

The PUCL appeals to the President of India to intervene and to scotch in the bud such a policy. People should not be sent back from the camps till elaborate arrangements for their rehabilitation and safety are put in place.
