coco-cola issue: PUCL kerala state general secretary and 13 arrested.
Urgent
action alert
Around a dozen activists marched to the office of the Ground Water Department
in not initiating action against Hindusthan Coco-Cola Beverages Limited
in Plachimada for overexploiting of water resoures.
The police arrested 13 persons in this connection including Kerala State
General Secretary of PUCL and Anti coco-cola strugle forum State Chairman
Vilayody Venugopal ,PUCL Palakkad Dist.President Shaji
Chelackattil,PUCL State Commitee Member Arumugham Pathichira.. etc.
They were produced before the Revenue Divisional Officer and who remanded
them in custody till September 5th.
State Committee of PUCL Condemed the arrest.
PUCL State Committee decided to launch a Jeep Jatha from Trissur Dist to Palakkad on Sep 6TH for shut down the cola factory.
