Attempt on the life of P.B. D'Sa, Mangalore condemned
An attempt was made on the life of the President of the Mangalore branch of the PUCL on July 8 2002. Shri D' Sa is out of danger and is progressing. The PUCL takes a serious view of the incident. It is alleged that some police personnel may be involved in the attack.

The PUCL expects the Karnataka police authorities to investigate the dastardly incident fully and bring the guilty to book. It is an attack on a defender of Human Rights. -- Y.P. Chhibbar Ph.D, General Secretary
